A Karmic Cleansing

It all started a little over a year ago when out of so much frustration I applied for another job just for the sake of it. I should have known straight away that it was the ECK in play.

I knew the following day after I applied for the job that it was mine. My partner and I were driving somewhere and in huge letters a sign overhead read “Kiss your boss goodbye.” Funny thing was that he didn’t even see this huge sign. It was only meant for me.

Within two weeks I had secured this job and handed in notice. I thought that it was going to be a great job. I felt quite comfortable moving to a doctor’s surgery where I knew one of the doctors, and had heard many times from her how great the place was. Read More

Why Am I an ECKist?

I am so grateful that my husband joined Eckankar in 1992. At the time I worried he was joining a cult, but my faith in his judgment and my love for him allowed me to let him follow his path. I read the books he purchased for nine years and by year six I knew that I would one day join.

In 2001 I had an inner experience and knew it was time.

I look back on the fourteen years since I began my journey in Eckankar and I am filled with gratitude for all that I have.

The inner peace I have found since joining Eckankar and the courage to face down the fears that held me back have allowed me to build a life built on a firm foundation. I now understand this life and the challenges in it were of my own making and in understanding this I am able to accept the difficulties with love and grace.

My gratitude is for the Inner Master and the many ECK Masters who guide me and have opened my eyes.

After returning from the 2015 ECK Springtime Seminar this year, I felt like a completely different person. I’ve never felt the Mahanta’s presence so closely, ever! I realized that all of the events that make up my day have been put there for a reason. Sure, I need a job so I can afford to live, but why this job? Why do I know these people? I had this new sense of knowingness that my only real purpose is to serve God. Set Free

Many years ago my younger brother, who is an ECKist, introduced me to the love song of God, HU. At that time, I was very sick. When I slept I had fears of the encounters I had in the dream state. I’d be chased around with spears and arrows. Now, whenever I sang HU, I’d have a peaceful night sleep.

Then on my second month of doing the spiritual exercises, I asked a question which went like, I want to know if this is the right path for me to find God? Then went to sleep.

In my dream on the second night, I was entering a departure hall. Then I checked the time on the central screen and I saw boldly written in blue on golden, yellow background, “ECKANKAR ECKANKAR ECKANKAR.” A happiness day in my life! The day I was set free.

This experience taught me, when Soul is ready, the Master is always there to show each and every Soul the path to become Co-workers with God.

The Last-time Dream

I met a lady about twenty-five years ago. She came to my salon of health and fitness. Three times a week, at 7:00 a.m. she would be there and doing an hour of Toning Table exercises. As it was too early for most, I would chat with her to keep her motivation up. And she told me all about her family. The result was that over the years we became firm friends. She was twenty years older than me. My mother had passed on. So it was a warm, almost friends-mother-daughter relationship.

Well, the past three years or so were hard for her. She had a fall and hurt her knee. But was insistent that Spirit would heal it. We all asked her to visit her doctor, but she had none of it. I did what I could, because now as friends I needed to cross the line of therapist. Not easy. Read More

Lenny was a seeker.

Years ago, Lenny had gone hunting in a neighbor’s field with his father, brother, and a neighbor friend. Tragedy was to change Lenny’s life. Lightning struck both him and his neighbor, who died immediately. Lenny himself went into cardiac arrest. His brother revived him en route to the hospital. In the emergency room, however, Lenny’s heart then failed again.

The medical staff tried everything in its power to revive him, but without success. Grave, hopeless seconds flew away like falcons upon the wind. Unable to make out a sign of life, the doctor signaled a nurse to pull the plug. As she bent over to disconnect the monitors, the faintest bleep sounded from the EKG.
