The Way to Spiritual Freedom

By Harold Klemp

The way to spiritual freedom is really very easy. But first you’ve got to recognize that there is a need to have spiritual freedom. That’s a big step. Most people never come to that in a single lifetime. It never occurs to them that they don’t have spiritual freedom.

Once you come to the realization that you are without spiritual freedom, then comes the question of how you go about getting it. Read More

A Little Dog Helps During a Medical Situation

By Kathryn, Minnesota

Many animals have an uncanny way of knowing where they should go to get the help they need. Those with a higher consciousness even know where to go to give to those who need it.

Animals Are Soul Too!, by Harold Klemp, p. 138

A while back, I scheduled an elective medical procedure with a registered nurse (RN). As her medical office was being remodeled, she asked if I’d be willing to have the procedure done at her home office. When I arrived, she was outside, talking on her cellular phone. She gestured to me to follow her inside her home.

Once inside, I met her small, fluffy white ball of fur that seemed to think he was a huge guard dog! As I stood in her foyer waiting for her to finish her conversation, I noticed the dog skulking around her and growling at me. Read More

Guardian Angel

A ten-year-old girl went to the dentist to have a filling replaced. Since a nerve was exposed in her tooth, the dentist put in a temporary filling. In those days, dentistry wasn’t very evolved, and the filling wasn’t very good. Over the weekend when the dentist’s office was closed, the girl’s temporary filling fell out.

The exposed nerve caused the girl such great pain that she just lay in bed and cried and cried. Her mother couldn’t do anything to calm her down. Read More

A Karmic Cleansing

By Jacqueline, Australia

It all started a little over a year ago when out of so much frustration I applied for another job just for the sake of it. I should have known straight away that it was the ECK in play.

I knew the following day after I applied for the job that it was mine. My partner and I were driving somewhere and in huge letters a sign overhead read “Kiss your boss goodbye.” Funny thing was that he didn’t even see this huge sign. It was only meant for me.

Within two weeks I had secured this job and handed in notice. I thought that it was going to be a great job. I felt quite comfortable moving to a doctor’s surgery where I knew one of the doctors, and had heard many times from her how great the place was. Read More

Coffee Break

By Harold Klemp

One Saturday morning a woman and her husband decided to go shopping at an expensive home-furnishings store.  The company was having a warehouse sale that began at 10:00 a.m.  Right next to the warehouse was the regular store, which opened at 9:00 a.m.

The couple arrived about fifteen minutes before the regular store opened.  Outside in the cold, unloading a furniture truck, was a young man.  The couple asked him if there was a coffee shop nearby where they could wait.  The young man gave them directions, and they set off.

They drove around for about ten minutes but couldn’t find the coffee shop, so they came back to the warehouse.  The young man was still unloading furniture.  He gave them the directions again, but they thanked him and said they’d just wait inside the store. Read More

The Australian Schoolteacher

ECKANKAR, ECK Parable, Waking Dream, Holy SpiritBy Harold Klemp

A teacher in Australia had finished a particularly rough day with her students.  She taught French to children ages seven or eight.  Because it was hot they were unruly that day, and she couldn’t do anything to maintain order in the classroom.

A citywide train strike was on that week.  Instead of taking a ten-minute train ride home, after school let out that evening the teacher had to get on the bus and ride for several hours.  The buses were very overcrowded because of the strike, and there was no air conditioning.

Sitting near the front of the bus, the woman mulled over what had happened during the day.  Inwardly she seethed.  How difficult the children had been!  Her thoughts went round and round as she got angrier.

Suddenly the bus driver’s radio crackled as a communication came through.  Another driver was calling the command center.  “The needle on my heat gauge is going up and up,” he said.  “What do I do?” Read More

A Sweet Little Fly

By Nora, Ontario, Canada

As we drove home from my appointment with my dentist, I was feeling down and depressed from the news that my jaw joint was completely worn out and the other one on its way.

A fly traveling with us in the car kept coming onto my hands and wouldn’t leave me alone. Finally I just let it be and do its thing, going from one hand and wrist to the other, back and forth, leisurely walking around there. As I watched its little game, I suddenly realized it was the Mahanta’s love and reassurance coming through this little fly. Read More

Soul’s Purpose in This World

John V Winter_6By Harold Klemp

Soul‘s whole purpose for being in this world is to find divine love. People come to the teachings of ECK for a number of reasons. Some come for the phenomenal things, like the gift of prophecy. They want to learn Soul Travel, which is a spiritual art. Or they want the gift of healing.

But those who are farther ahead spiritually come to ECK with the desire to find love, divine love. In fact, before they find ECK, they often asked, “Show me how to find love.” And then they find it in ECK. Read More

Finding the Gold

Fubbi Quantz_internetBy Rolando, California

I just came back from three days of visiting the gold country in the Sierra Mountains of California. I was a chaperone for my son’s 4th grade field trip to Gold Rush County. It was educational, fun, and adventuresome! But I also didn’t anticipate being a Vahana for the ECK and a Co-worker with the Mahanta. It was a three-hour drive to the mountains from our home in Burlingame, California. The drive was fun and my son and his two companions were excited.

On the first day, trouble began when a known problem student, “Jeremy,” became unruly. He stole some goods from a gift shop that the group had visited and pushed a teacher after she confronted him. After dinner, he was told to pack up his gear so that he could be sent home. Wow. This is where the trip turns very interesting. It was like the ECK had a surprise job for me. Read More

One Small Thing for Love

ECKANKAR, Pets, Soul, LoveBy Harold Klemp

I got a letter from a woman whose life had pretty much caught up with her and stomped her down. She was fed up. In her letter she said, “Harold, tell it to me straight. What do I need to know?”

I wrote back to her, “Do one thing each day for love alone. Don’t expect any kind of reward.”

When the woman got my letter, she was so excited. She called up her friend, “Hey, Harold actually reads these letters. He wrote back to me!” She wanted her friend to go to the mall with her so she could tell her all about it over tea or a snack. But her friend said, “I can’t go to the mall with you; I’ve got a meeting.” So the woman went alone. Read More
