Our Songs of Love

By Pier, Florida

I just wanted to share something.

For many years I took my children to the local nursing homes to entertain the residents. My kids played the piano and guitar. I was the MC.

When we entertained, the elderly people, even the ones who were really “out of it,” began to smile, clap, and show some kind of happiness on their faces. Even though the children were not the most amazing singers, musicians, etc., it did not matter to the people. They clapped and begged us to come back soon. My son Eddy would play the guitar and we would go room to room singing to the patients. We always declared ourselves as vehicles for the ECK. Read More

Spiritual Exercise: The Golden Cup

HR_Golden-Chalice-blue-bkgnd_lower-resBy Harold Klemp

Every evening at bedtime visualize a golden cup by your bed.  Its beverage is your dreams.  When you first awaken, in the morning contemplation, drink from this cup in your imagination.  You are drinking in the night’s experiences.  It is a conscious way of saying, I wish to recall my night’s activities on the inner planes while my body slept.

The golden cup is Soul; it is you.  You are one and the same.

As you get in the habit of drinking from this cup, this practice takes on a life of its own.  The more the ECK (Holy Spirit) refills this cup, the more Soul (you) shines of Its own golden light.  You become an ever-brighter instrument for the Holy Spirit.

Your conscious experiences, day and night, will lead to a greater understanding of your place in the spiritual order of life.

Life after Death

By Kathy, Virginia

Our family dog of almost nineteen years translated. Diggitty had been living with our son in northern California. This beautiful Soul gave our family so much love, joy, laughter and healing, and was such an integral part of our family. He brought our family through some dark times and helped my son go from being a troubled teen to a beautiful sensitive, loving Soul. The love this dog taught all of us to have, but most especially my son, was absolutely amazing.

In Diggitty’s later years, when his body wasn’t functioning as well, my son Travis spent much quality time with him and was very patient. When it was apparent Diggitty would translate very soon, Travis carried him to their favorite place, near his home, at the ocean and held Diggitty in his arms all day long. Diggitty translated early the next morning. Read More

The Way to Spiritual Freedom

By Harold Klemp

The way to spiritual freedom is really very easy. But first you’ve got to recognize that there is a need to have spiritual freedom. That’s a big step. Most people never come to that in a single lifetime. It never occurs to them that they don’t have spiritual freedom.

Once you come to the realization that you are without spiritual freedom, then comes the question of how you go about getting it. Read More

Look of Love

ECKANKAR, Animals, Love, Divine SpiritBy Harold Klemp

A woman from Trinidad felt as if her life had gone to hell in a handbasket.  Her marriage had just broken up.  Then her son began using drugs.

Life was pretty hard, so much so that one day, while she was driving to work, tears began pouring down the woman’s cheeks.  She decided to pull the car off the road and just cry.

She pulled up beside a field where young horses were grazing.  Still crying, she got out of the car to enjoy their beauty. Read More

Spiritual Love

ECKANKAR, Relationships, Youth, Spiritual LoveBy Harold Klemp

Q: How can one have a healthy, loving relationship without getting too attached?

A: Not to get attached is often taken to mean “not to get involved.”  It actually means not to let your idea of how things should be dictate the relationship.  That kind of love has strings attached.  It means always trying to have your partner do what you think is right.

Those with pure love do all they can to let their mates grow in every way.

So we come to the real meaning of detached love.  It means to let others exist without forcing our will upon them.  That is spiritual love.

The HU Works!

By Onoriode, United Kingdom

A friend of mine recently went through a very traumatic experience. She already suffers from anxiety. This was made worse when she was viciously attacked by two men. They stole some things from her purse like money and her phone.

She was badly shaken and did not leave the house for months—only to work and straight back.

After listening to her story, I empathized with her and shared the HU with her, saying this was the only thing I knew that could help her.

A few weeks later she sent me a text message saying “It worked . . . It worked, the HU worked.” She and her husband had just watched a program on TV called “Crime Watch” which reenacts crimes in the hope of catching the criminals. This brought back her terrifying ordeal. She began to cry uncontrollably. Her husband was unable to help. After a few hours, she finally remembered the HU. By the time she got to the fifth HU the crying had stopped and she felt a warm feeling of peace and love.

For Love and Acceptance

Shariyat SpirEX Bk1_CoverBy Harold Klemp

“The wise man is one who stores up the ECK within himself and at the same time distributes the spiritual love which is within himself. He is not one who gives his compassion to a few but to all, whether or not many understand this. He is able to live among the wretched, the thieves, the unhappy, robbers and fools, for he accepts life for whatever it is and gives love to all. He is the wise one who is able to give all that he has to his fellow man. He finds love for those who greedily accept what he gives, and they shall be blessed a thousand times for his love.”

A Little Dog Helps During a Medical Situation

By Kathryn, Minnesota

Many animals have an uncanny way of knowing where they should go to get the help they need. Those with a higher consciousness even know where to go to give to those who need it.

Animals Are Soul Too!, by Harold Klemp, p. 138

A while back, I scheduled an elective medical procedure with a registered nurse (RN). As her medical office was being remodeled, she asked if I’d be willing to have the procedure done at her home office. When I arrived, she was outside, talking on her cellular phone. She gestured to me to follow her inside her home.

Once inside, I met her small, fluffy white ball of fur that seemed to think he was a huge guard dog! As I stood in her foyer waiting for her to finish her conversation, I noticed the dog skulking around her and growling at me. Read More

Guardian Angel

A ten-year-old girl went to the dentist to have a filling replaced. Since a nerve was exposed in her tooth, the dentist put in a temporary filling. In those days, dentistry wasn’t very evolved, and the filling wasn’t very good. Over the weekend when the dentist’s office was closed, the girl’s temporary filling fell out.

The exposed nerve caused the girl such great pain that she just lay in bed and cried and cried. Her mother couldn’t do anything to calm her down. Read More
