A woman had a female cat for a pet. They had lived together for eleven years, and there was a very strong bond of love between them. Eventually the cat died, and the woman missed her very much.
About a year after her cat had died, the woman had a series of very clear dreams. In one dream, someone told her, “Your cat is going to reincarnate on Monday, July 31.”
When the woman woke up, she said to herself, That dream was very nice. But I live in an apartment in a big city now. I don’t know how my cat is going to find me.
Then she had a second dream. In this dream someone handed her two tiny kittens. Read More

Q: A while ago, I was doing a spiritual exercise that was an extension of the “as if” principle. At the time, I was unhappy with work and relationship issues, and so I began to write in my journal each day about the life I wanted to create for myself.
It changed me completely and helped me focus on particular goals. Within weeks, the experience I had written about in my journal began to manifest.
How do I know, when practicing an exercise of this nature, that I am working in alignment with spiritual law and not infringing on the spiritual freedom of others?
A: In your first paragraph, the key words are “the life I wanted to create for myself.” So was it an upright, honest goal? Read More

Everyone wants to make good decisions. But how do you know when you are being guided by the ECK or by the mind? Here’s a simple way to tell.
If guided by ECK, you are more likely to change your mind when new information comes along. You’re quicker to admit that an earlier decision based on sketchy information needs to change.
The mind has the power to make you believe you are always right. That’s why a headstrong person acts so smart. He thinks he’s always right, though he’s often wrong.

A mother went shopping with her bratty daughter. They were standing in the checkout line, waiting to pay for groceries. The mother had a shopping cart filled with food, and the little girl had her hands all over it. She kept pushing the cart against the back of the woman ahead of them in line. “Bam, bam, bam,” she said, as she rammed the cart into the woman.
Finally the woman turned around. “Could you please ask your daughter to stop? That hurts!” she said to the mother.
“I will not,” the mother answered. “My daughter is being raised the antiauthoritarian way. And I wish her to have freedom.” And the little girl went right on banging this woman in the back. Read More

Try this simple spiritual exercise to help you hear and see the two aspects of God, the Light and Sound.
Go somewhere quiet. Sit or lie down in a comfortable place. Put your attention on your Spiritual Eye, a point just above and behind your eyebrows. With eyes lightly shut, begin to sing a holy word or phrase, such as HU, God, Holy Spirit, or “Show me thy ways, O Lord.” But fill your heart with love before you approach the altar of God, because only the pure may come.
Be patient. Do this exercise for several weeks, for a limit of twenty minutes each time. Sit, sing, and wait. God speaks to you only when you are able to listen.

Q: When animals meet their goal, do they become ECK Masters the way we do? Where is heaven? What is heaven?
A: Souls in animal forms do not get the initiations as we do. Their spiritual unfoldment is handled in other ways.
Animals can follow their own path to mastership if they want to. Only through the lower worlds, though. For example, earth allows several levels for Soul to gain experiences in life, including the mineral, plant, fish, animal, and human stages.
But there’s no fixed spiritual law about a rock having to stay a rock. Or a daisy staying a daisy.
By choice, though, most Souls want to taste life at all levels. They do go from the lower to higher body forms. So animals could move up to human. Yet that would take many lifetimes. Read More

Q: What is the difference between the love one has for one’s mate and the love Soul has for God?
Is one sort of love better than the other? And is it still possible to fall in love with someone after you reach God Consciousness?
A: The highest love is a pure love for God.
A pure love for one’s mate is the same as a pure love for God. There is no difference. But, frankly, pure love is a rarity—whether for God or for mate.
“Falling in love” usually means falling into karma. Karma—good, bad, or neutral—sets the tone for a relationship. For example, some couples love to fight.
The attraction between people of a high state of consciousness is a mutual desire to serve God and life. Such a couple join forces to help each other reach even higher states of being.
A high, pure love is sweet indeed.

I was driving into the parking lot of a local discount store when I suddenly saw a white Cadillac tailing me. I wasn’t paying too much attention until the person in the Cadillac began honking the horn over and over.
The driveway was huge, but the Cadillac cruised right on my left rear fender. The driver was upset. She thought I had cut in front of her while driving into the parking lot. She cruised on my bumper for a long time, then finally pulled around me, parked, and rushed into the store.
I don’t like to be pushed, so when she came out of the store, I went over to her and said, “You probably didn’t notice, but the freeway is over there.” This was not the thing to say. She batted my ears down. When she left, I said, “That was really something.” I could feel the waves of anger coming from her so strongly that I found myself shaking. Read More
