A Karmic Cleansing

It all started a little over a year ago when out of so much frustration I applied for another job just for the sake of it. I should have known straight away that it was the ECK in play.

I knew the following day after I applied for the job that it was mine. My partner and I were driving somewhere and in huge letters a sign overhead read “Kiss your boss goodbye.” Funny thing was that he didn’t even see this huge sign. It was only meant for me.

Within two weeks I had secured this job and handed in notice. I thought that it was going to be a great job. I felt quite comfortable moving to a doctor’s surgery where I knew one of the doctors, and had heard many times from her how great the place was. Read More

The Two Collies

One night a sales representative had a dream about two collies.  Her recollection of the dream was a bit garbled the next morning, but she dutifully wrote down as much of it as she could remember.  Then she went about her life as usual.

She was just sitting down to dinner the next day, when she heard a noise at the kitchen door.  There were two collies standing outside.

The woman recognized them immediately.  They were the collies in her dream.

If she hadn’t had that dream, she might have sent the dogs on their way, thinking that they were simply exploring the neighborhood and looking for a handout. Read More

Saved by an Accident

I would like to share with you this story of when I was in a car accident almost two years ago.

I was taken to the hospital after being hit by a car that came out of an intersection and did not stop. It spun my car around several times and totaled my car.

I was taken to the hospital. I had no injuries from the accident but I was admitted when they found that, unknown to me, my body was full of infection. My blood was so low I needed several transfusions and other urgent care.

None of this would have been detected if I had not been in the accident. I could have died within days.

I feel so blessed to have the Mahanta’s and the other ECK Masters’ help in my life!

Coffee Break

One Saturday morning a woman and her husband decided to go shopping at an expensive home-furnishings store.  The company was having a warehouse sale that began at 10:00 a.m.  Right next to the warehouse was the regular store, which opened at 9:00 a.m.

The couple arrived about fifteen minutes before the regular store opened.  Outside in the cold, unloading a furniture truck, was a young man.  The couple asked him if there was a coffee shop nearby where they could wait.  The young man gave them directions, and they set off.

They drove around for about ten minutes but couldn’t find the coffee shop, so they came back to the warehouse.  The young man was still unloading furniture.  He gave them the directions again, but they thanked him and said they’d just wait inside the store. Read More

Why Am I an ECKist?

I am so grateful that my husband joined Eckankar in 1992. At the time I worried he was joining a cult, but my faith in his judgment and my love for him allowed me to let him follow his path. I read the books he purchased for nine years and by year six I knew that I would one day join.

In 2001 I had an inner experience and knew it was time.

I look back on the fourteen years since I began my journey in Eckankar and I am filled with gratitude for all that I have.

The inner peace I have found since joining Eckankar and the courage to face down the fears that held me back have allowed me to build a life built on a firm foundation. I now understand this life and the challenges in it were of my own making and in understanding this I am able to accept the difficulties with love and grace.

My gratitude is for the Inner Master and the many ECK Masters who guide me and have opened my eyes.

Life Partners

Q: How important is it to date or marry someone in the same religion as me?

A: This life is for the gaining of spiritual experience.

Life partners often—nearly always—reach an agreement with others important to their mutual spiritual unfoldment long before either of them becomes aware of it on earth.  But destiny is not fixed.  Each has to find the other, often sorting through many possible choices.

An ECKist will, of course, consider both ECKists and non-ECKists as a life partner.  Most Souls agree to total amnesia before their return to earth in new bodies.  The reason for that is to avoid old biases and hatreds.  Amnesia gives one a fresh start.

Your spirituality depends upon yourself.  Someone in your religion may or may not be the right choice for you at a given time, so look around.  Ask the Mahanta, the Inner Master, to help you weigh the spiritual advantages of each potential life partner.

My ECK Seminar Transformation

After returning from the 2015 ECK Springtime Seminar this year, I felt like a completely different person. I’ve never felt the Mahanta’s presence so closely, ever! I realized that all of the events that make up my day have been put there for a reason. Sure, I need a job so I can afford to live, but why this job? Why do I know these people? I had this new sense of knowingness that my only real purpose is to serve God. How Dreams Can Help Us

Q: How can our dreams help us?

A: Dreams are like a daily report card. They show how you are doing in your spiritual mission, even if you don’t know you have one. Dreams tell how you are getting on in your relationship with God and life.

There is a spiritual side to every experience or event, no matter how large or small, and whether or not it occurs in every day life or in a dream.

But—and this is a big but—few people have the spiritual eyes to see.

Most people are in a daze but don’t know it. They have hardly any idea about their life in the higher spiritual worlds while their body lies asleep at day’s end.

Set Free

Many years ago my younger brother, who is an ECKist, introduced me to the love song of God, HU. At that time, I was very sick. When I slept I had fears of the encounters I had in the dream state. I’d be chased around with spears and arrows. Now, whenever I sang HU, I’d have a peaceful night sleep.

Then on my second month of doing the spiritual exercises, I asked a question which went like, I want to know if this is the right path for me to find God? Then went to sleep.

In my dream on the second night, I was entering a departure hall. Then I checked the time on the central screen and I saw boldly written in blue on golden, yellow background, “ECKANKAR ECKANKAR ECKANKAR.” A happiness day in my life! The day I was set free.

This experience taught me, when Soul is ready, the Master is always there to show each and every Soul the path to become Co-workers with God.
