Your Bond of Love with All Life

ECKANKAR, Pets, Soul, LoveBy Harold Klemp

If you have a pet, you are aware of the bond of love between yourself and your pet.  This bond of love exists because you are Soul—a particle of God sent here to gain spiritual experience.  Ultimately, to learn how to give and to receive divine love.

What most people don’t realize is their pet is also Soul.  Animals are Soul too.

Soul exists because God loves It.  It’s very simple.  And when two Souls set up a bond of love, it is stronger and more enduring than eternity.  It doesn’t matter if the two Souls are human beings or if one of them happens to be a bird, a dog, a cat, or another animal form.

You, me, our pets—we are all Soul dwelling here in the world of nature.  Nature itself reflects the laws of ECK, the Holy Spirit.  We can observe the working of Divine Spirit in the habits of birds, the cycles of plants, and the instincts of reptiles and mammals.

All sing the glory of God; all teach the secrets of life.

What Is the Ultimate Goal of Soul?

ECKANKAR, Goal, Soul, Love, SpiritualBy Harold Klemp

Here is a brief review of the final goal of Soul: It gathers an education in the lower worlds so that It can become a true citizen in the spiritual community.  This is what we call a Co-worker with God.

The relationship between parent and child in the worlds of matter is based upon this spiritual design.  The parent is the vehicle for the child’s entrance into the world and is responsible for his education.  The child must, between birth and the age of perhaps eighteen, learn all the dos and don’ts of his culture.  The significant fact underlying the parent-child relationship is that there is more freedom for the child as he gets older and assumes more responsibility.  The parent has failed his duties if the child reaches legal age and is unfit to take his place in the world. A Special Purpose for This Life

11C53_BZ_TheMomentBy Harold Klemp

Odd as it may seem, you had a special reason for coming into this lifetime.  It was to become a more godlike being, but most people do not realize this fact.  They assume that birth is a fancy of destiny.

All the lives you have ever lived were for the polishing of Soul.  Like it or not, you are now at a higher and more spiritual level than in any prior incarnation.  So look at yourself.  Do you like what you see?  Keep in mind, whatever it is, for better or worse, it’s of your own making.

You are the sum of all your thoughts, feelings, and actions from this life and every lifetime in the past. Read More

What Happens after Death?

ECKANKAR, Truth, God, Light and SoundBy Harold Klemp

Q: What happens to us after death?

A: I’ll paint a picture of the afterlife with a broad brush.  The reason is that consciousness is like a river of water in that it goes gradually from a small stream to a larger one.

A composer, for example, uses a similar method.  When he wishes to move up, say, eleven notes from a starting note, he will work his way up in gradual steps rather than in one big leap.  He may go up two notes, drop back a half note, move up a full note, and so on, until he reaches the eleventh note he was aiming for.

These gradual movements from the smaller to the larger or the lower to the higher are to prevent a destructive or jarring effect upon the sensibilities of man or nature. Read More
