A Spiritual Journey through Pain

By Joe, Pennsylvania

That had to be a plane, I thought. Nothing else could possibly be moving so fast. Alarmingly the force of the fast-moving object’s impact snapped off my driver’s seat. My car catapulted forward.

I was traveling at about sixty miles per hour on I-75 north of Atlanta, Georgia, and getting ready to exit. A couple minutes prior to impact I saw jets taking off from Dobbins Air Reserve Base. It wasn’t a plane that hit me, though, but an uninsured nineteen-year-old driving an unregistered vehicle. Later, witness reports put his speed at over a hundred miles per hour as he wove in and out of traffic.

The back end of my car moved to the right. The wheels on my Toyota Corolla seemed to grab the road surface as the car began to turn over. I knew how fast I was going. I knew the car would roll in a wild tumble. I absolutely knew that I could not and would not survive. It was without a doubt one of those entire-life-in-a-flash moments. There wasn’t time for any lengthy reminiscing. Read More

How to Soul Travel: Beyond Astral Projection and Out-of-Body Experiences

This clip—and the transcript below—is from Harold Klemp‘s 2013 talk “Just Keep Trying.”

This story is about “Uba,” who’s currently living in the United States. In an African language, “Uba” means rich.

Way back when he was a Second Initiate, Uba wanted to Soul Travel more than anything. Because as far as he was concerned, if he could Soul Travel, this would prove that Eckankar was real, and that the ECK teachings were what they said they were.

He was so desperate to learn to Soul Travel. He tried a three-day, dry fasting technique that his Christian father had taught him before he died. Yet the deceased can come in dreams and tell you all kinds of things. Read More

The Adventures of Soul Travel

Harold Klemp, LIght of God, out-of-body experience, Soul TravelBy Harold Klemp

Soul Travel is a valuable skill that can be learned by almost anyone who is willing to invest the time and patience. It is a bridge over the gulf that divides the human from the spiritual consciousness.

Soul Travel is a natural progression that is reached through the Spiritual Exercises of ECK.

A chela in Africa lay down in bed, covered his ears with pillows, and listened to the ECK Sound, which was like a sibilant, rushing wind in the distance—but still very close and within him. Soon, he felt a sucking motion at the top of his head, but he was not afraid. He then felt himself totally withdraw from his physical body and hover in space over the bed. Read More

A Wildfire Burning Out of Control

Image by: Rudolf NuettgensBy Kathy, Washington

One Friday, a few years ago, I started to have a conversation with God.

I live in Washington state, and wildfires were raging there. That year over a quarter of a million acres burned in Washington—the worst ever up to that date.

My brother “Shane,” also an ECKist, lived in a distant part of the state. I had been keeping in touch with him about the fires. And then, for two days, I lost all communication with him. At the same time, I could track the fire closing in on him on the Internet, and I saw that the fire was a mere thousand yards away. Read More

Thy Will Be Done

By Mina, California

I put together a little park newsletter and in the last issue I had related how in my three-times-a-day walk around the block with my little dog Buster, I encounter this neighbor. And she had said, “I am in remission, what a wonderful word that is.”

Again Buster and I were on our walk, this same neighbor rolled down her car window and asked me how I was. I in turn asked how she was. And she said, “The cancer is back.” This hit me so hard I felt I had been punched in the stomach. I truly did not understand my reaction. I quickly recovered, smiled, and gave a thumps up. She gave me a thumbs up in return and said, “I beat it before, I will beat it again.” Read More
