Going Home to God

Going Home to God

Fubbi Quantz. FOO-bee KWAHNTS The Mahanta, the Living ECK Master during the time of Buddha, about 500 BC.

By Christopher, North Carolina

As a spiritual seeker, I found the Eckankar website very helpful and informative. In my heart I knew this was for me. I wrestled with it for almost a month, but then I thought, What would hurt to get a one-year membership? After all, if I was unhappy with it or didn’t like it, I could get right back into metaphysics. So I jumped right in. I went online, made a donation, and signed up for membership.

The next day, I decided to do the HU. I wanted to see what all the hype was about. So I started to sing HU. I felt awkward, but I continued. Still feeling awkward, I pressed through the battle in my mind. I focused on my Third Eye. I began to feel the pure vibration I had felt a short time before, when I visited an ECK Center. I began to be filled up with love. The awkwardness was certainly gone. I was raptured in Spirit. Read More

A Spiritual Experience in Australia That Changed Everything

By Daniel, California

I was nineteen, going on twenty, and working late nights at a restaurant in Brisbane, Australia. A few months earlier, I had dropped out of Queensland University where I had been studying engineering. Academic life wasn’t what I had hoped for. I was yearning to grow as a person and to rub shoulders with life, but university just seemed to be a much more challenging version of school with very little scope for personal growth. I was a seeker. Read More

Giving Thanks

ECKANKAR, gratitude, Harold Klemp, Shariyat-Ki-SugmadBy Harold Klemp

“Over all these lower worlds the Kal Niranjan was given the responsibility of exercising the power of the negative force. This Kal force was formed to have the strength to give life and body forms for each Atma which came to live in these negative worlds.”

The Shariyat-Ki-Sugmad, Book One, p. 89

On this day, practice gratitude for the gift of life itself and for your own body, mind, and emotions. For all the small things that help you sustain your existence in this world and help you unfold with experience.

You may find that you take extra care with your food, or are kind to yourself in your emotions.

Saying, “Thank you,” aloud or in your heart, is a way to feel God’s love.

Autobiography of a Modern Prophet Wins 2017 Best Book Award

By Linda Anderson, Minnesota

The e-book edition of Autobiography of a Modern Prophet won the American Book Fest 2017 Best Book Award for New Age: Non-Fiction. Autobiography of a Modern Prophet was selected by a distinguished panel of industry judges from 2,000 entries.

For me, Sri Harold’s momentous journey before and after God-Realization twisted and turned like a fast-paced novel. He wrote, “The heart of this book is thus not the experience of God alone, but also the narrative that precedes and follows the experience. It shows how I had to come to terms with this unexcelled state of God Awareness in my everyday life.”

After hearing about the national award, I thought it would be cool to find out why other people love the book. The results follow. Read More

Finding Dillon

Finding DillonBy Jennifer, California

My sister Carrie was on her way to visit me for my wedding anniversary celebration. I was happy she was coming and agreed to pick her up at the airport.

Almost as soon as she got into the car, she began to tell me stories about her new dog named Dillon, who is a Wheaten Terrier. Dillon was a rescue dog and very loving. My sister doted on him like a new mother over a baby.

When we arrived home, Carrie got a call from her husband, Jerry. He had taken Dillon up to their ranch in Montana. As he usually did, he let Dillon out to run around and explore. But this time, the dog hadn’t returned.

Dillon was missing. Read More

A Wildfire Burning Out of Control

Image by: Rudolf NuettgensBy Kathy, Washington

One Friday, a few years ago, I started to have a conversation with God.

I live in Washington state, and wildfires were raging there. That year over a quarter of a million acres burned in Washington—the worst ever up to that date.

My brother “Shane,” also an ECKist, lived in a distant part of the state. I had been keeping in touch with him about the fires. And then, for two days, I lost all communication with him. At the same time, I could track the fire closing in on him on the Internet, and I saw that the fire was a mere thousand yards away. Read More

Seeing through the Inner Senses

ECKANKAR, Harold Klemp, HU inner visionBy Harold Klemp

“The extrovertive way looks outward, through the physical senses into the external world, finding there the greater experience of the divine reality. The introvertive way turns inward, with an introspective manner of seeing through the inner senses and eyes to find the greater experience of the divine reality beyond the human consciousness.”

Dream Guidance Opens the Door to a Miracle

Dream Guidance Opens the Door to a MiracleBy Harold Klemp

Some years ago, doctors told Rebecca that she was barren—she would never have children. She’s a member of Eckankar and has come to believe in her dreams. Despite this prognosis by the doctors, she still wanted to be a mother, to have her own children. So she opened herself to the ECK and said, “If there’s any way for me to have my own children, please let it be so.”

She determined at this time that she would begin living her religion. So as a member of Eckankar, she began to do her spiritual exercises every day. She read a lot of ECK books, and she practiced the ECK principles as best she could. Read More
