A Dog’s Love Transcends Death

dog, Soul, Harold Klemp, Prajapati, Spiritual EyeBy Harold Klemp

A man had a very old dog, Zeke, who was his special friend.  The veterinarian had bad news, though.  The fourteen-and-a-half-year-old dog had cancer in his abdomen, but no pain.

He’d probably slip peacefully away, said the vet.  But if Zeke developed a breathing problem, it would be time to let him go.

That sad day soon came.  The man and his wife took Zeke to the vet and had him put to sleep.  Zeke was in the man’s arms when he went, literally leaping from that tired old body like a prisoner set free from his cell.

On the drive home, the man’s Spiritual Eye opened.  He saw Prajapati, the ECK Master who cares for the animals. Read More

Soul Returns for Love

ECKANKAR, Reincarnation, Soul, Animals, DeathBy Harold Klemp

Siamese cats can be very finicky and self-centered.  But not Misha.

When Misha’s owner was sleeping in the morning, he lay very, very still.  Most cats are different: as soon as they are awake and hungry, they start moving around, maybe licking your face.  “Breakfast time.  Let’s get up and go outside.”  But not Misha.

Misha also had a habit of jumping into his owner’s arms, just wanting to be loved.  And after he got hugged and loved, then it was time for breakfast.  But loving always came first.

After a while, his owner began to notice there was a very close connection between the love that Misha gave and the behavior of a toy poodle she used to have named Lulu.  Misha was acting a whole lot like Lulu. Read More

A Dog Brings Divine Love to a Woman in Need

ECKANKAR, Soul, LoveBy Harold Klemp

A certain woman was considered to be very strong by her friends.  She was the person that others went to when they had trouble in their lives.  But one morning she woke up feeling depressed, lonely, forgotten, and unloved.  Seventeen years ago on this date her father had died, and she had kept her sorrow to herself all these years.

She felt terrible, but she went to work.  Her boss was a very understanding person.  “On a day like this, sometimes it’s better just to forget work,” he advised.  “Go to some special place or talk with a special person.”  And the woman had someone in mind, a very close friend.

When she arrived at her friend’s home, he was painting the garage.  His dog Buck sat next to him.  Buck had always been very unfriendly toward women and very protective of his owner.  When he saw the woman approaching, Buck began to growl.  The dog sat there growling at her as she watched her friend paint his garage. Llamas Offer a Lesson in Divine Protection

ECKANKAR, Holy Spirit, GodBy Harold Klemp

A man and his wife owned a farm in the eastern part of the United States.  They had llamas and sheep, and outside the fence they had coyotes.

The coyotes spent their time trying to figure out if it was worth it to go inside the fence to get the sheep.  But inside the fence was also where the llamas were.  And llamas are very protective of sheep.

A llama has a very peculiar warning cry.  It sounds like a siren.  The first time the man heard this siren sound, he had no idea what was going on.  He ran outside, prepared for just about anything.

It was the llama sending a warning to a coyote or some other animal that was thinking about coming after the flock of sheep.

You have to consider that Divine Spirit, the Holy Spirit, watches out for each of you, for your safety and spiritual well-being, with as much care as a llama looks after the sheep in its care.

The Holy Spirit, or the ECK, is a wave which comes from God made up of both the Light and the Sound.  It is the Voice of God, the Sound Current.

It speaks to us in different ways.  Sometimes it’s through intuition, sometimes through a messenger speaking for the spiritual hierarchy, like a guardian angel.  It also speaks to us through dreams.

Llamas are interesting, and the Holy Spirit is interesting too.

A Little Black Kitten Heals a Broken Heart

ECKANKAR, Pets, Love, FreedomBy Harold Klemp

An elderly woman in England had a cat named Scrap that she had to have put to sleep.  This was a very great loss for her.  Our pets become our very close friends; when they leave there is a great emptiness in our lives, and we don’t know if we’ll get another pet.

During one of this woman’s empty days, she looked out her window into the garden and saw a little black kitten. Somehow it had jumped over the six-foot fence into the backyard.

“I don’t want to start feeding this kitten,” the woman said.  “It probably belongs to someone else, and it should go home.”

But she put food out because the kitten was very hungry. Read More

Cows Teach a Scottish Farmer about Love

ECKANKAR, Animals, Love, Protection, GodBy Harold Klemp

A farmer in Scotland had a large herd of cows.  He and his wife treated these cows like their children.  Every morning they’d come out to feed and milk them.  They would call each cow by name and give them little treats.  They’d pet them.  The cows loved the farmer and his wife, and the couple loved the cows.

One day the farmer got on his tractor and drove out into the field to check on a newborn calf.  This was risky because a neighbor’s bull had been brought over for breeding purposes and was loose in the field.

When the bull saw the farmer, he charged the tractor and knocked the farmer off and began to gore him.  The farmer went unconscious.  Read More

Your Bond of Love with All Life

ECKANKAR, Pets, Soul, LoveBy Harold Klemp

If you have a pet, you are aware of the bond of love between yourself and your pet.  This bond of love exists because you are Soul—a particle of God sent here to gain spiritual experience.  Ultimately, to learn how to give and to receive divine love.

What most people don’t realize is their pet is also Soul.  Animals are Soul too.

Soul exists because God loves It.  It’s very simple.  And when two Souls set up a bond of love, it is stronger and more enduring than eternity.  It doesn’t matter if the two Souls are human beings or if one of them happens to be a bird, a dog, a cat, or another animal form.

You, me, our pets—we are all Soul dwelling here in the world of nature.  Nature itself reflects the laws of ECK, the Holy Spirit.  We can observe the working of Divine Spirit in the habits of birds, the cycles of plants, and the instincts of reptiles and mammals.

All sing the glory of God; all teach the secrets of life.
